A geographic information system (GIS) is an effective tool for presenting and analyzing data in a spatial context. Verdant has used these tools in preparing emission inventories, developing source data for use in dispersion models, and in locating sensitive receptors. A GIS not only facilitates these tasks but also provides the ability to present the results of these analyses in an informative and accessible format.
